Subject: RE: Anyone SUP? My husband and I love our SUP boards, it is a great workout. A local shop had a demo day so we tired out a few boards with very little instruction and were instantly hooked. There are many different kinds of boards which your local shop can advise you on what is best for what you want to do. We rented boards a few weekends in a row until we found the ones we liked the best. We have a Tahoe Rubicon and a Tahoe Zephyr, both boards have some great speed behind them, but are not meant to really double as surfing boards. They are designed more for long cruise type paddling. You can SUP without a lesson, there are some youtube videos on it, as well as videos on tahoesup.com, and other board manufacturer sites. My biggest recommendation is make sure you get a leash for the board so when you do fall in you are not trying to chase the board and the paddle. |
