Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding swimming with my i-pod?  What's the best one out there?

I'm a huge fan of my H20Audio Interval.  They have a product for all the different ipods, but I just chose to get the Interval for it's size, and bought myself a Shuffle.

With the Shuffle, I create Genius mixes on Itunes then load them onto the shuffle.  I make a 2 hour mix which is plenty to get me through any pool session.

I also am now using the Interval for running as well.  I thread it through the band on the back of my running hat then I don't have to deal with headphone lines running down my shirt to my shorts.

quick edit:  I forgot to mention that the sound quality under water with it is just as good as if I was sitting in my living room.  And it makes 4000 yards go by alot quicker and less boring when I'm jamming out in my head!

Heard alot of great things about the Interval case. I am tempted to do the same, and purchase a shuffle. I am completely musically driven, and know that having music during the swim would definitely help out. My biggest concern is trying to figure out in advance what I am going to want to listen to for the workout, trying to get my 160gb music library down to a few songs on a shuffle will be difficult to say the least.

I prefer the h20 audio and use the armband for my iPod touch, not as bulky as you might think but if it gets too bulky they make an extender so it can be around your waist.

I had the Swimp3 and liked it but it is just easier for me to just have the one mp3 player than several both are great products.

now i might have been wishfully thinking, but i thought i saw somewhere the other day on swimoutlet.com that Apple made a waterproof ipod shuffle with the H2O compatible headphones... it was like $149 or something like that, but you didn't need a case because it was built to be able to get wet. I'd totally get one, but i'm slightly concerned what salt water would do to it.. i'm not sure if the tests were done only in a pool or what not. just thought i'd throw it out there

2nd vote for Finis SwiMP3.

The speakers sit on your cheekbones which I really like. The sound then doesn't come thru your ears, but thru your cheek bones so you can still hear outside noise like people in the pool... or in my case approaching boats and jetskiis.

Only downside, my model is a few years old and doesn't have much memory. But its still way better sound and more convenient than the headphone and waterproof case kits I tried for my Ipod.

I saw the same thing advertised. It seemed too good to be true, and am tempted to buy one. Their terms and conditions have a 90 day return policy, so I figure if it isn't waterproof in the first 90 days of use and there are complications, then it is going to happen in the first 90 days. Apparently they have a 'process' that waterproofs' the whole iPod (shuffle) itself.

I have the H2OAudio Amphibx. The sound quality is excellent and the earbuds stay in very well. I have the small unit, but they make one for every size ipod. When I was looking for something to use, I found a company that would take your ipod and waterproof it. Maybe that's the same process Apple is using.

I love the swimp3 player..especially the fact it does not go in the ears.

I have the H2O shuffle that is waterproof. I bought it from Amazon.com (link below). First one stopped working, so I sent it back.  The replacement has worked for 10+ hours in the pool. I just clip it on my suit and go.  I think it works great, but who knows if it will break like the other one did....

Got these head phones to go with the shuffle.  My only complaint is my ears start to hurt after a while with my cap pressing them into my ears.
