Pre-race routine:

Got to Cancun a couple days before. Got a good warm up session on Saturday, bike-run brick and then headed to transition. Swim after that.
On race day I left my running shoes in my room. I got in a taxi, got the shoes but on the way back the roads were closed. Had to run a brisk 5k to transition. Got there 2 min before they closed transition. That's a warm up!

Comments:

Terrible! Had a hard time feeling stable after transition. My right foot was in extreme pain. Eventually it went away and was follow by a blister on left foot. Conditions were touch, very hot an very humid after raining all previous night. I walked every station aid and cooled down with cold water. Second half was probably more consistent.
What would you do differently?:

??????????? run better :)

Post race
Warm down:

Sat and cooled down. Got a massage. Rode bike to hotel

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training

Event comments:

Great race, very well organized, volunteers are awesome, lots of station aids one every Kilometer on the run!!! that's more than 20!! and they had all kinds of things; lots of very cold bags of water, lots of ice, gatorade, pepsi, orange and bananas, pretzels, you name it!!! And the volunteers, mostly young kids were AWESOME! Flat al surfaces, bike is kind of isolated but the run is packed with people cheering. My only problem (big one) is that it was too hot and humid. I was actually shocked at how bad I felt on the run....... bummer. But I would definitely recommend this race to anybody.
Good training for IMFL, first international race, got to share the experience of a Colombian Pro Triathlete and learned a lot. He was fifth (overtaken in the last 2 miles, lost podium).
