Subject: Yoga for triathletes?

Hi everyone,

The question: Can anyone recommend a Yoga DVD specifically for triathletes and runners?

The background: I've been doing some generic yoga "on demand" videos, which really seem to help with my running, but based on a lower body yoga class I took, I wondered if there were any "yoga for runners" videos. Indeed, Amazon carries several "Yoga for Runners" and "Yoga for Athletes" titles. I would love to know if anyone has tried any of these. Hard to wade through the customer reviews - I trust you guys more!

I'm leaning toward this one: http://www.amazon.com/Christine-Felsteads-Yoga-Runners-Essentials/dp/B001OA7ZKS/ref=lh_ni_t

But this one also has some nice endorsements and good reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Athletes-Guide-Yoga-Personalized-Flexibility/dp/1935045105/ref=pd_luc_sim_01_02_t_lh

Please let me know if you have suggestions. Thanks!

You can try the Felixible Warrior series by Sage Roundtree  from Spinervals. I would recommend it over a traditional Yoga sequence for triathlon.

X2 I have the 3 DVD set from Flexible Warrior.  Gives a good variety of sequences and one DVD specifically devoted to swim/bike/run specific stretches.

the P90x Yoga X is pretty good.  You can buy the single dvd on fleabay.  The first 45 minutes is all you need

Gotta give a plug for Kim Fowler's Yoga for Athletes ... she's a former pro triathlete and is now kind of a yoga guru. I took her classes when I lived in L.A. and they were pretty darn amazing. The DVD is excellent and well represents what her classes and philosophy are like. Um ... lack of philosophy 'no granola, no chanting, no Sanskrit'

I just found the Flexible Warrior 3-pack on eBay for $50, so I'm going to buy it. Yipee!

I like Rodney Yee's stuff, too. I have one of his back DVDs at home.

And the Yogamazing sounds perf, too - best part is the price!
