Pre-race routine:

Got up really early, brewed my coffee, then drove down to DC.

The weather that morning was really cold, so I basically just stood around and shivered.

Comments:

I do know that I have gotten fat and out of shape since IMFL, but before I got sick a few weeks ago I was holding faster paces at lower HRs. Since then, I just can't keep my HR down no matter what, which is incredibly frustrating. It was high the entire race, I just tried to keep it from going too high until the end. My legs felt fine almost the whole race, and felt fine at 4pm.

What would you do differently?:

Less clothes
