Pre-race routine:

Good meal and everything, though forgot my water bottle (Nuun) and didn't tape Gu to bar. Not smart, though OK for a sprint on a cool day.

Not a great swim. I knew it wouldn't be, but struggled more on the first half. Long breaths at wall, etc. Still surprised it took THAT long.
What would you do differently?:

Train more than just doing a few 500m swims

Felt slow. Just didn't get socks on smoothly, wasn't quick for some reason.

Wind was out of the north. Kept it in the 14-15 range most of the time going into it, which was pretty good, and flew with the wind. I'm happy with the effort and speed here, even without much road training. Have to take what the day gives you, and I managed the wind well.
