Run
Comments: I started toward the back, since there was some climbing initially. Slow going for the first couple of miles until the group sorted itself. Once inside the closed trails gate, I settled in with a group of 4-5 others and traded positions a few times. We stayed together until the exit and climb up to Castle Pines, I actually managed to pull ahead here and ran the last few miles ahead of the group. Seems I have a gravity advantage downhill to make up for my climbing deficiency. Post race
Warm down: drove home and took a long, hot shower to thaw out. What limited your ability to perform faster: Snow. Sleet. Mud. Temps at freezing. Event comments: Despite the conditions, this was actually a lot of fun. Looking forward to doing it again next year. Last updated: 2011-08-01 12:00 AM

Woke up to snow. Lovely. Stretched at home, left late, and sat in the car until 10 minutes before the 10 mile start.
