Pre-race routine:

Ate a lot the night before, so no breakfast other than coffee and a powergel

Zoot ultra shorts, zoonie shoes no socks, red tech under, long tech over.

Event warmup:

Had to pick up package so lots of time to kill. Some jogs to shake things up.

Comments:

Not feeling 100% but can't waste the IM training - ran a PR 5k last week, so used that time in McMillan to figure a potential 10K time. Beat that by a hair so maybe do another 5k race next week.

Volume in the last month has been low, but fitness is still high.


Event comments:

Slice of Papa John's pizza post race was a nice surprise. Wish they had choco milk or something.

Took 4 years to finally break that barrier. Easy running, no injuries although my mileage looks low compared to some of the dudes on here.
