Swim
Comments: My swim time have been slower this year, oh well. What would you do differently?: More speed work. Coaching. Transition 1
Comments: My T1 was good. 6 of 32 in my AG. What would you do differently?: Leave shoes on pedals. Need tri specific bike shoes. Bike
Comments: Good course but the u-turns and hills slowed me down. This is probably my weakest leg. Transition 2
Comments: On the way back in on the bike I decided I would try taking my feet out of my shoes before I hit T2. I had never practiced it and almost lost it when I was coming to a stop at the dismount line. Transition went very well. I was 3rd in my AG which was only 6 seconds slower than the pro who came in first. What would you do differently?: Practice jumping off moving bike. Run
Comments: The downhill at the beginning really seem to help after coming of the bike. Post race
Warm down: Enjoyed the hospitality of the RTC tent. The hostesses are wonderful and the freshly grilled italian sausages were delicious. Event comments: Race organization was great and the atmoshere was great too. Weather couldn't have been much better. I heard that the race will probably go back to ACAC next year. Pnut butter bagel and banana. Got to transition earlier and was first one to rack so i got the end space facing bike-out. Set up transition and realized my goggles were in my swim bag.
Jogged a half mile or so down Coalfield to see how the uphell at the end of the run would be. Not too bad.
