Have to get my lazy ass out of bed and put the miles in. Longest run up to the race was 17 miles and that was five weeks before the event. No excuses for that type of laziness and I knew it would hurt me in the end. Had a great pace going for 20 miles and then the wheels came off the bus. Post race
Warm down: Walked through the 'mister' they had this year - VERY nice. And of course, the usual stretches rotated through. What limited your ability to perform faster: ** See Remarks previously listed ** Event comments: Wasn't crazy about the late start and this was the second year in a row that temperatures were above normal. Other than that, you just can't beat the volunteers and water stops. By far the best marathon I've run yet!!! Last updated: 2005-09-21 12:00 AM
