  • 880 yards

Comments:

Nice swim in a lagoon, like swimming in a lake. Nice big turn buoys. Felt fine w/o a wetsuit except a couple cold pockets.
Transition 1
  • 02m 14s
Comments:

Was dizzy after the swim, so not as quick as normal.
What would you do differently?:

Get started on the bike a little faster.
Bike

Comments:

Got a little congested in the last couple miles. People too close and not holding their speed so I pushed a little too hard to just get away from them!
Transition 2
  • 01m 42s
Comments:

Had to take off a sock to remove rocks from T1. Otherwise pretty efficient.
Run

Comments:

Had to walk some spells unfortunately. Got better as the race went on. Plenty of water on the course. Nice weather for running.
What would you do differently?:

Get faster.

Event comments:

Love the course. The food was excellent too - pre race meal and post race meal included in entry. High quality catering by the Longboat Key Club.

Good job today.  This race keeps getting better.  Glad to see I'm not the only one who enjoyed the food!

Thanks.  Nice job placing today.

The swim course was a huge improvement.

My husband was so impressed by the food that he thought about trying the duathlon next year!

I wonder if the new Rev3 Sarasota will affect this race?

I wonder if the new Rev3 Sarasota will affect this race?

Polly

I talked with the race director for the Rev3 race today.  He was racing and was racked next to me.  He said that was a major concern of the LBK Tri organizers.  He said Rev3 hopes to make Sarasota its featured pro race of the season.  That would be pretty cool to see.
