I'm curious the big differences.  I like how detailed TP gets but I'm sometimes overwhelmed with data.

I'm also curious if you're able to upload your own training plan on TP.

Thanks

I like to use both.  I use the logs here so if I were to have a question about training, people can look at my logs and give some sound advice.  I use TP because I like the way the data is organized and I can look at the graphs to break down a training session.

As far as entering a training plan into TP, you can but you would need to purchase the premium membership for that service.

So I can't manually edit my own training plans unless I pay for the service?

BT does this for free

Interesting.

I have recorded all my training here on BT since early 2005...first year I didn't log it.

The pluses of TP is they have power data, graphs, calculations like TSS, NP, ect, I like uploading Garmin files, it shows it on map and I can even click and have it show on google maps.

If I didn't train with power the differences are less.

I like each....graphs and history data here on BT is awesome.

Thanks Kathy, I think until I get a power meter its not useful to me.

I use Training Peaks purely because it is the only option I have for uploading data straight from my Timex Global Trainer.  BT was supposed to add this funcitonality over the summer, but it hasn't happened yet.  When it does, I'll switch over to only using BT.

I used TP because of my TGT watch as well, but continue to update my logs both on TP and on BT.  I track my calories over on TP because I like the interface and foods database better.

I have been contemplating the same thing. I have the free TP but find it very limited unless one upgrades to premium. I like BT but it does have it's flaws. I am disappointed that I can upload my bike workouts from my Garmin Edge 500. I know it's coming but it has been a long time wait. TP seems to be more compatible with different devices. My plan is to continue using BT because I think it is the best bank for the buck. I will start training with power in a couple of weeks so I am planning to supplement the BT training log with Golden Cheetah so I can start keeping track of my power files.

I stand corrected! After posting this I went in and tried to upload a bike workout from the Edge 500 and it worked! I had to first download a plug in from Garmin but that was all I needed. Thanks BT for getting that fixed!

I use TP and WKO+ and was reviewing BT but not too sure about it yet.  I'd love to enter in historical data, but it seems difficult.  You cant just use the TP download excel spreadsheet to import.
