does anyone use a cycling app on their iphone as their cycling computer, and if so, which one do you like the best? is there a particular mounting system/case that works well with aerobars?

thanks,

lisa

On Android there are a bunch, I like map my ride but there are others. I would love to find a good durable weather proof mount.

Cyclemeter now is ANT+ capable, which you can tie into both a speed/cadence sensor and HR monitor. Tracks HR zones, you can do intervals, etc. Overall, it seems fully functional. Don't know how it stacks up with a good Garmin, but it certainly has everything I need.

ETA: They also have bike cases for the phone that can strap to the aerobars, and have an extended battery option, as well

Does anyone else have trouble with mapmyride not being accurate? When I used it twice zooming in to view closer it had me all over the place, zig-zagging and not going in a straight line throwing off the distance by a good amount.  I stopped using it because of that.  I have iPhone not droid

Don't use the iPhone mounts from eBay. It launched my phone off twice in the first 15 miles of a ride. I really like my garmin 800 but when I'm not using that I use mapmyride

The biggest problem I had with MapMyRide is that they dont have autopause (at least didnt when I was loking for cycling apps a few weeks back).  This caused major innacuracies, since it will keep logging time even if you are standing at a light or a stop sign.  That is the only reason I did not go wit them.

I purchased Cylemeter and have no complaints.  Has everything I need.  A little steep on the price for an app ($5) but I think it was worth it.

I love the map feature.  My wife can see where I am a as I ride from her facebook profile, in case I come across any serious issue...
