Subject: STOP Changing the Bike Course...
They have changed the bike course for the third time ...for the Great Floridan Triathlon....I am doing the half im distance race and have gone to ride the two previous couses....The race is October 22 and I might be able to get there one more time but geez...enough already....sorry just had to vent....

Here's the post from Fred Sommer.  Sounds like it was out of his control.  Doesn't help you much but I don't think he's very happy about it either.  Good luck!

We just returned from a meeting with our local Sheriff's department and have been informed that they will not approve our new proposed bike course. The meeting reminded me of a Capital One commercial, i.e. no, NO, nope, can't do it, no, NO, nope, no way, no, etc.

With that in mind, it looks like the 2004 bike course is back on for 2005. It may be changed slightly in town to eliminate runners crossing the cyclists at the start of the run.

It could be worse ... they could change the swim leg from a flat course to to an uphill swim!
