Subject: How far is far enough?? Working towards a 1/2 iron early next season. What kind of distances should I be hitting in order to know that I'm ready? Is it a percentage of 1/2 iron distance? For example, if my swim workouts hit 1.9 miles (150% of 1/2 iron distance ) or bike workouts hit 75 miles (again, 150% of the distance ). Should it be 125% of distance? Higher? Lower?
Is it more of a time thing? If I estimate my 1/2 iron run time to be say 2 hours, should I try to have my workouts reach 3 hours? I think you guys/gals get what I'm asking.
