What an AWESOME DAY, and experience. The weather was great, the race was exciting, and the 17th HR PARTY at the finish was BADASS!! We sat in the bleachers, 1st row behind the finish line, from 13:30:00 on to the 17th hour.. Grabbed about a dozen water bottles, 2 hats, 2 t-shirts, 3 bottles of sports cream. The sponsors go crazy out there giving stuff away. Just an absolutely faboulous day. Took a grip load of pictures, but will just throw a couple in there to give you an idea.

Karen Smeyers is a rock star 44 years old, and still rocking.. Finished 9th I think!?
And Simon Lessing coming out of the water early, but slowed on the bike.. Not looking good at the start of the run.. DNF's on the run

The reason I was there. MY STUDLY BROTHER IN LAW 10:40 TIME! Not bad for a guy that was hit by a winabego 2 months ago, and couldn't even start Ironman Canada. He is my Inspiration... A ROCK STAR ALL THE WAY!

Sweet, sweet pics!  Thanks for sharing them here.

On another note, what's up with Simon Lessing?  He DNF'd at IMCDA this year too.  Tough year for him.
