Okay, so this is a weird 3 man marathon relay; the first segment is ten miles, the second segment is 5k, and the last segment is 13 miles. I ran the middle segment. My time include my running time, which I estimated at 22 minutes, AND the time to transition the strap-on race chip from the first runner to the second runner AND from the second runner to the third. In other words, the first runner crosses a time hack before the first transition and the third runner crosses the second time hack after the second transition. Got it?

I had excellent teammates; the third leg runner was a past master, and did his 13 mile segment at better than an eight minute mile pace. Inspiring!

An excellent, and very flat, marathon course -- The Columbus Marathon is very large and very professionally organized. The relay was a bit confusing, but not through any fault of the race organizers; it actually takes quite a bit of logistical work to get three team members figured out, organized, and situated.
