I've only got enough money for either cycling shoes/clipless pedals or an aerobar. Which of these will give the most bang for my buck in terms of improving my cycling?

No fair getting two votes Eric

Ditto here, though. Cycling shoes and clipless pedals are easily the best "bang for the buck" in gaining cycling efficiency. Don't know what your budget is, but if you shop around yopu may find you can afford shoes, pedals and aerobars.

Pedals and shoes. No question at all. Clipless pedals allow you to use the entire stroke. I don;t think you'll see much benefit from aerobars if you don;t have clipless pedals.

Aerobars are nice and everything, but my vote goes for the shoes/pedals. Looks like it's unanimous.

Yup...shoes and pedals will provide the most immediate gains and energy consumption savings...by 'pulling', you don't have to expend nearly as much energy 'pushing'....save it up for the run

Shoes and pedals but what kind of shoes/pedals are you getting for the cost or clip on bars?
