Well, it looks like the site is back up! Thank goodness.

Today's plan: maybe swimming, even though I'm not supposed to since I'm rehab-ing a shoulder injury. But I could do a slow careful swim, I think. Or if I decide to be good, I'll do some weight work -since I did NONE last week And yoga, of course.

Yesterday I did the MS Walk so no running for me. When we got home I wanted to bike, but the yard beckoned me and I happily gardened for four hours. My muscles are sore, but in a good way, today. I lifted a lot of bags of topsoil and did a lot of weeding.

This morning was my "long" training run. I'm doing the Olympic training with an emphasis on running. I got a new really cool watch that allows me to set lap times in advance. I set up three intervals: 22 minutes, 22 minutes, 4 minutes. That way I could turn around after 22 minutes and head back. The first mile was, as always, wonky feeling. But by the end of the run I was actually feeling like I could go a little longer and since I wasn't 4 min from home (4 min was my cooldown interval), I just kept running up to 50 min. It felt glorious!

This coming week will be strange because I have a conference with kids in Yakima. I'm hoping I can steal away some time for working out. One of my students is a runner and is training for a sprint tri (we're doing it together) so we're going to try and get at least one other runner to head out with us and do some running. I'm hoping to eat least get some decent workouts in while we're gone, and get some sleep. Don't generally get a lot of sleep on these trips!

Oh - I was in withdrawal for not being able to get on the site! However, the wait was well worth it - Ron it looks fabulous!

Long run/walk for a little over an hour. Abs later.

I am totally laughing at myself!!
I was convinced that everyone else knew that they weren't supposed to post, and that I was wrecking something!!!! I thought "I really don't want to be first if I am cheating!". Now how dorky is that!
Glad to see that everything is back to normal. It looks fantastic!!

Swam 1200m and did weights this morning. Might do Pilates later.
Jen :-)

I'm back from my 56 mile bike ride on the NH 1/2 ironman course. There were some nasty hills, but they were in between some nice long stretches of flatish and smooth road with a wide shoulder, good for laying on the aero bars and cranking along for 7-10 miles. And it's an out and back course, so I get to do the good sections twice (as well as the hills twice! duh!). Turned out to be a great day, rode with a group of 10, averaged 18 mph for the ride, so I'm pleased at my form in April.

I'll be taking my sweetie out for dinner...what would you like us to order Ellen, in case there's leftovers?

Oh yes! I had those withdrawal symptoms when the site was down also..

It really does look great Ron -- wonderful job you've done all the war 'round. Happy Birthday to BT.com.

Went for a nice bike ride with a friend. It was leisurely on back country roads for about 15 miles worth. Not at all hard workout, but felt mighty good. I love cycling. (I hate running).

Ha! I must have burned a lot of calories today...there wasn't much left over. Got a few clam strips, couple of sirloin tips, a potato skin. Looks like I got a mix-and-match lunch for work tomorrow.

missed the site while it was down. barely survived the withdrawal!

ran 60 minutes (in the rain--but it's good practice for the expected inclement weather for my race on May 2)

Site looks great, looking forward to wearing BT gear at some upcoming races.

Training took a back seat today, major problems at work, will hopefully get back to it mid week

45 minutes of weight training, followed by 1000yds in the pool. Couldn't get a good rhythm again today. My two rest days have completely thrown me off! Tomorrow I *will* run and possibly swim, as today's swim just didn't feel right.

Ron, the site looks awesome! After Band of Brothers tonight, I plan on delving deep into the crevasses and soak up the wondrous new look!

All week the weather report said warm and sunny for Sunday. All week I looked forward to a lon hard bike run day. Sunday morning it was thunderstorm warnings. I headed out for a group ride anyway. There were about 20 people there. After 20 minutes it started getting dark. It got windy really windy. Then it got really dark and the rain and hail came down fast and hard. We sped home on the shortest route. I was on my bike for 1 hour. I was bummed.
So I went to the Y jumped on the erg. I did an hour of high intensty rowing. Then two hours on the spinning bike and I made it hard I cranked the resistence and pretended I was racing in Europe with thousands of people surrounding me and yelling to climbe faster. I got off the bike and felt like I had just done the bike leg of an Ironman. I think I over did it a bit and didn't have anything left to run. 83 days until Ironman Germany. I feel a little desperate and panicy because I know I need those long hard days right now.
