Total Time = 1h 11m 43s
Overall Rank = 49/51
Age Group = 36
Age Group Rank = 0/
Pre-race routine:

Got up at 4 am and eat oatmeal and drank Sports Drink Traveled 1.5 hours to the race.
Event warmup:

Stretched before race
Swim
  • 02m 45s
  • 150 yards
  • 01m 50s / 100 yards
Comments:

Great swim for me due to the fact that I got aerobic way to soon last year
What would you do differently?:

Turn in a 1:30 lower swim time on the application.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

Could have been a little better, they had just cut the grass and it was hard to wash off the grass.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Bike
  • 39m 49s
  • 10 miles
  • 15.07 mile/hr
Comments:

Great bike for me as I never pushed it hard and maintained a high cadence
What would you do differently?:

Not a thing best bike I have ever had
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

Good T2 it could have been faster
Run
  • 29m 7s
  • 2 miles
  • 14m 34s  min/mile
Comments:

Best run that I have had at the end of a race. I ran the entire time although it was slow, it was the fastest that I have had at the end of a tri. Sub 15 in a tri is about 2:30 Minutes off what I usually do.
What would you do differently?:

Keep training for the run and tri to keep my foot healthy.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked a little and rehydrated

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Prior foot problems and lack of training on the run.

Event comments:

Good race for first timers and it was good to be there with some of my friends that were doing it for the first time.

Course: This was a time trial start for a pool swim. Little slower because we had to swim under the lane markers. Never got aerobic on the swim because what was the use. On a 150 yard swim, the difference between all out and slow was not that much.

This is a little deceptive, because when you stepped out of the pool you triggered your bike time, and when you exited the on the run you tripped the clock so you bike time included T1 and T2

Good race Michael. Sounds like things went quite smoothly for you. Now -- do our races simply come up on the forum when we enter them? Or when someone replies to them?

It really looks like you are ready for your season. Good job.
