I'm not sure how many of you triathletes are football fans, but right now, for those who wouldnt otherwise know, to be a South Carolinian this week, is to be a college football fan as the Rivalry between S. Carolina and Clemson rears its ugly head.

I've been a clemson fan for about 20 years. And they've rarely let me down. I cant probably count on one hand the number of times Clemson has lost to Carolina since I've been following the game. (go tigers)

Trouble is, I'm not really a college football fan for any other week out of the year.
So I dont know what the crap anything means. Like ACC and SEC, I know they're different conferences, but which is tougher, which is better. Just because Carolina was able to get ranked because they were in the SEC, does it mean anything when facing a team outside of that conference?

Does anyone know enough about this stuff to explain it to me?

All you need to know about is BIG (eleven) Ten Football. The rest is just details, other than that team in LA.

All you need to know is TCU rules because they're ranked higher than most of the schools that other people on this board root for.

And I'm not sure about you question. Are you asking about how conference vs. non-conference play works?

And I do know you're team is probably in some trouble since Spurrier has been pulling wins out of his 4$$ left and right.

All though not a fan,

You guys all need to watch the scores because Vandy is playing Tenneessee at Tenn. Vandy has a good chance to win this year (in 22 years) and if Vandy does, they will tear down the stadium. Will be a huge win for them.

Thought this was an educational thread for Aggie fans.

TCWHo? Ranked higher than whom? Pretty sad when you brag about being #15.

And I'm counting six SEC teams in the Top Twenty.

As the season draws to a close for my dear Aggies, once again, my postseason loyalty is with LSU.

To try to answer your question, SC is ranked because they beat some pretty good teams, not "because they were in the SEC." What that means relative to teams outside the conference is that the "experts" who vote on these polls consider SC better than any team NOT ranked, including Clemson.

They still have to play the game, though.

Good. Save me a seat next to you.

The bandwagon was fun 2 years ago when I was at the SEC Championship game when they beat UGA. Damn that was fun.

Back to the original question - both the SEC and ACC have powerhouses. Florida State (in the ACC) has dominated in the past - not so this year. The ACC includes teams like Miami and Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech. The SEC has LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi State, etc., etc. The SEC is generally considered the tougher conference, although that varies depending on who you ask. And South Carolina has been struggling a while, except now they've got Steve Spurrier, so watch out.

GO DAWGS!

Are you being sarcastic? I don't know if thats a "chick car" or not. I think it could be a guys car. My first car was a '67 Mustang. Not a chick car, but the guys liked it.

Of course a girl drives it. Every other girl there is driving a Lexus or Beamer that her Daddy bought her for good grades... hence the term B1+ch3s drivin' Benz'.
