Subject: Northeast TN running trails
I will be in the Johnson City-Kingsport area visiting family for Thanksgiving. I am used to mostly flat running trails here in Texas. Anyone know of good places to run in NE Tennessee? I grew up there, so I know how beautiful it is--but I was absolutely NOT a runner at the time. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

In the words of one of your now fellow Texans, "Suck it up, buttercup."  Just step out the front door and start running.  It is Tennessee, the air is better, the roads more enticing, and the sun is always shining. 

Actually, Geezerette No. 1 and her husband will be in Kingsport on Thursday.  I will send your question over to the SIL.  He ran x-country at Dobbyns-Bennett and still runs. 

If you see him on the road, would you mind throwing down some really fast miles on him.  He and I will be running on Friday (in Cleveland) and Saturday (at Norris Lake) and he about kills me.  I would  like to see him come in a little worn down one time.
