Cavu9 - 2005-12-08 10:16 AM Would it be wrong to stop during the marathon for a burrito?

I don't think so. I think it might be a cool idea to run the marathon with a burrito in hand. I mean, if Jeeb Fleeb runs with a flag, why not run with a burrito?  Hmmm...ideas...

If it's cold, strap two to your head - burritomuffs. If it's warm, turn your camelback into a chipotleback. And it's just a matter of time before the mensas produce burrito-flavored gel. Like a jeans commercial once touted, it's wiiiiide open.

I wil deifnitely have to strap a burrito to something, becuase I am almost positive at mile 20 that I will loste my form and the burrito might throw me off.  I could strap it to my head or something. Actually, if someone could meet me around mile 26 and hand me a burrito as I run by, I woudln't mind haivng it visible for my finish photo.

Half for me. Running with anyone who can make me laugh and entertain me for 2 hours. This is a social race for me.

If I decide to pack them in the luggage, there might be enough over-flow from my wig /skirt / high heels appearance to keep you in stitches for several days. In fact you might be hard pressed to even finish the 1/2 Mary!

That's what Chris is for.  His hands don't have anything else in 'em, I don't think? As a backup, we could work with the race directors to establish a 'burrito zone' where you can put your specific Mexican nutrition for pickup.

I'm doing the full. I think I may do the 5K on Saturday too. Not sure if I wanna just be lazy and run an easy couple of miles like I did last year before Disney, or do the 5K as a warmup. I guess it depends on what my wallet looks like over the next couple weeks.

Don't forget to check out the T-shirt thread if you want a "Team BT" shirt for the weekend! I've made a couple so far, and they've come out great! I even wore one for 7 out of the 13 miles of the OUC Half last weekend and none of the colors ran even after being soaked with sweat!

I think I just found the two hot chickas that I will "follow" for my half-mary. Time doesn't matter with a view like that!!!

Yeah I can do it on any color. They even sell "dark fabric" transfers now, so you can go as dark as black. Be as different as you wanna be...I'm way more different than most people!!! LOL

Hello everyone. Since my racing schedule just changed, now I am seriously considering signing for the half mary. Since a lot of BTers will be there I was wondering if you are planning something specific in terms of accommodations. (Like staying in the same hotel, sharing room cost, etc). Let me know as I’ll be waiting with my hand on the mouse ready to hit the submit bottom for my entry fee

Jorge, there are a number of people staying at the Hyatt downtown. It is also the host hotel.

Yep, the Hyatt is where I'm gonna try and stay. I'm up for sharing room costs with anyone that needs to. PM me if you are looking for a roomie for the weekend.

Unless Renee lets us all stay at her place!! LOL j/k

Hey ya'll- airtran is having some great deals on flights to Tampa.  I just arranged my flights with them.

Check it out if you haven't already gotten your tickets yet!!

Only bad thing is that my flight leaves at 7am on Monday- OUCH!  It was either early in the morning or late in the evening.  Oh well- guess I can sleep on the plane

I'm running the 5K with my 10 year old on Saturday, then doing the 1/2 on Sunday.  Not sure you'd want to run his pace, but you're welcome to join in the fun!!

Cool thanks Wendi! It's not so much of a pace thing, more of a comeraderie thing...did I spell that right? Figured I'd do it if other BTers were gonna do that and then the bigger races on Sunday...cool, glad to know there are others doing it! Yay!
