i rinse good at the pool and then go home for the real shower...most of it comes out but still a little residual on the skin.

prolly not much help.   i think it has soomething to do with your water too..hard or soft...i dunno...too late to think.

Doesn't this remind you of that thread long ago about chlorine smell and bragging rights??? Does anyone remember where to find it??

Yup, I use it too. I've only ever found it at beauty supply stores or salons. Their's a faux-biolage/matrix out there, but it ain't worth it!!

Do you wear a cap? I am militant about protecting my hair and my hairdresser tells me she cannot tell I have been swimming, so i guess my program works....

I put some corn oil on my hands (cheaper than jojoba oil) and run it over my hair. When I get dressed and take my shower before swimming, I wet my hair with fresh water. Then I put on the cap. Some chlorinated water gets in, but the oil and fresh water does protect it from really soaking in. I wash in regular shampoo (aveda shampure) daily, and once a week use a detoxifying shampoo. condition like crazy (aveda's leave-in).

Ok, I realize you were only concerned about the smell.... my obsessive vanity is showing.....

Nope dont wear a cap, dont really have a ton of hair. Was more concerned with the fact that I swim at lunch and then shower at the Y. Of course, I come back to work and people look at me like I just crawled out of the pool so I figured maybe there was some chlorine minimizing shampoo or something.

I use Ultra-Swim. They make shampoo, conditioner, and a body wash. They work pretty well, but not spectacularly.
