Be sure to register for the Pinehurst tri in Oct.  It's a great race.

If you find something let me know. I've had so many close calls here in Raleigh and on the roads in Asheville it is absurd - especially from Pick-ups and SUVs - no one uses turns signals - what is up with that. The mtn biking is great in Asheville - the BRP is good but be careful and remember that Lance got back into Tour Shape on the BRP in Boone so you might want to pick your gearing wisely. Also the Rail Trails are way over crowded in NC. There are far too many bicycle deaths here in Raleigh - about a year ago a radio staion got into trouble for encouraging people to hit cyclists - NC is one of the least cyclist kind places I have ever lived - get ready to be driven off the road - yelled yet - get things thrown at you etc. I do most of my riding on a roller-within 10 miles of my house in loops and in Cary (containment area for relocated yankees). Cary is like the twilight zone because it is some how not in NC - though becareful everything looks the same in Cary and it is easy to get lost there.
