Personally I love the coverage by CBC - every sport no matter how obscure gets covered. What I hate is when we (Canadians) have to analyse to death the hockey teams that we have sent to the Olympics.

I want to see the skiing, especially the downhill and I want to see hockey.  Hopefully, the Americans put in a good effort.

Will the drunk guy medal I don't think so, he hasn't peformed in the WC lately. Especially in SL his former best disipline.

So as you can tell, alpine skiing is a biggie, I play hockey as well so that (double gold again baby!) But i enjoy watching bobsled, luge, skeleton freaks me out a bit. curling is good too. Moguls and aerials I like as well. me=busy come olympics .

Every time our athletes take two steps up, our whole country stands taller.

I was hoping for naked luge, but I think that's been nixed for this year.

OK, seriously, I love watching speed skating, any distance! And cross country skiing and biathlon, of which the latter hardly ever gets any coverage.

I am looking forward to everything.  I love this stuff.  I really dig the bob, luge, and skeleton events.  I attended most of the events and practices for them during Olympics in 2002 here in SLC.

I can't wait for the Olympics to start.  I love watching every sport, but I really miss having CBC.  I grew up near the Canadian border, and I was always flipping between CBC and the US stations.  CBC had so much better coverage and always showed something different than the Detroit stations.

I'm guessing that any sport that puts a broom in a man's hand has GOT to be a sure fire hit with the ladies!

The "Agony of defeat"

Okay, I'm looking forward to the winter olympics version of the Triathlon:

1.5K Polar Bear Swim (I nominate TriComet for that one)

40K Cross Country Skiing

10K Snowshoeing

Okay, so I'm hoping for that event to happen one day.

Speed Skating - hopefully watching Cindy Klassen rack up some medals. The attached video was taken today. Sorry for the poor quality - had to reduce it big time so that I could upload it here.

Curling did not make the cut for NBC, but they will be showing some on USA and CNBC. I think it will be on Feb. 13 and Feb. 22. Me and my basic cable are going to miss all the good stuff.

I like to think of biathlon from the perspective of scandinavian nations. If you're from Norway, Sweden, or Finland, biathlon is not considered "skiing and shooting". It's just, "killing Russians". Occasionally it's "killing Nazis" but mostly it's "killing Russians".
