There is a BBQ fest downtown this weekend and there will by several thousand people in the area. Its lots of fun, but the night before a race I am not too sure. I believe it is the biggest BBQ fest in the world. I went last year and it was awesome!!! Of course the beer and the pork the next day didnt feel too good on the stomach.......

I'm looking forward to this race!  I'm staying at the Marriott downtown and will have a car.  It'd be cool if we could all meet for an early dinner on Sat eve.  Spagetti Warehouse sounds good to me.  Shall we say, 5:30pm?

I have a crew of about 12-15 - so not sure how big that would make things - if we can do it, I am all for it.

Dinner at SW sounds great for Saturday night!

As for the weekend, I have the BT banner, so I will find a nice location for us to meet hangout each day.  We may need a jockstrapper to hangout with the banner on Sunday while we race.  Then again, Mike will be done before most of us start, maybe we will tag out before I get in the water!    Look for the banner peeps...see you this weekend!!!

Couldn't find anything.  If memory serves me correctly, I don't remember them posting it on the website.  Only was able to tell by the race # you receive and that is just a ballpark since it is a timetrial start.

Woo Hoo!

As for the BT Banner, I am going to have 2 tent/shade tents and my family is going to have boat loads of gatorade, beer, food, chairs music, and many other festive items there.

I am going to set them up side by side at about mile 1.5 of the run.  There you can see the swim and a lot of the run in the park area.

I will have my black ford excursion parked right by it.  If you want to put the banner there AND I have informed my family to have enough for all ny BT friends.

Woo Hoo!

Where are we considering dinner Sat night?  5:30 soounds great.

Someone better make reservations for SW, the one here in Nash always has a 2 hour wait on Satu nights...

Start time works as follows:

1. Pros go off at 7:30 am in 3 second intervals
2. Relay teams go off in a mass start
3. Age group from youngest to oldest in 3 second intervals

I believe they line up in numerical order by age group as well. Everyone should be done with the swim start in an hour and a half or so.....

If we make it early (like 5 or 5:30) we probably won't have a problem.  The BT gang met at a popular downtown restaurant at 5pm for St. A's and the place was deserted.  By the time we left it was packed.

But, if one of the locals doesn't mind calling SW and asking if we can call ahead or reserve...sounds like we could probably have a group of 20 easy...

Mike Ricci has 15, between us there'll be another 10 or so.  Would one of you Memphis locals please make a reservation for 25 people at Spagetti Warehouse for Sat nite at 5:30?

Thank you.

I will have to let you know in a day or so.  I don't know what Doug is going to want (or need) to do for his race or pre-race meal.  Hopefully we can make it.

Well, if he's living under your roof, you can tell him when to sleep, when to eat, when to work, when to watch TV. At least that is what my parents told me.... :-)
