Pre-race routine:

nothing special.. Got there early.. set up everything to be organized for smooth transition. Ate an energy bar.
Event warmup:

got in the water and swam some strokes prior to swim for a bout 8 minutes

I sighted more often during this swim but still felt I was not as direct as I wanted to be.
What would you do differently?:

I need to continue to work on my freestyle swim stroke to optimize.

This was the first race I used my wetsuit for. I thought taking it off went pretty good.
What would you do differently?:

I might dry off a bit more in the cold weather.. I was freezing on the first part of the bike ride

Physically felt very week during the bike. It was such a struggle to try to keep up my speed.
What would you do differently?:

I need to work on pre-race nutrition. I ate an egg when i first woke up before my last race, and did not before this one. I felt much stronger during the last race but not sure if the egg had anything to do with it.

The run was the best part. I got a second wind after the disappointing bicycle portion. I really tried to work on my pace during the first and second mile. I feel like I improved in that area.
What would you do differently?:

Continue working on pace.

Hi Kate!  Nice race!  The egg might have been a bit heavy if that's all you had.  Next time I recommend something else like a Clif Bar and a banana.
