I've just joined. A fresh beginner hoping to do my first sprint triathlon this summer. Really enjoying the site so far. Have any of you done the london triathlon? And where can i get a cheap bike from.

Any Uk support you could give me would be great because the sport can be a bit daunting for a newby?

One more here. Technically I'm in Wales but you asked for brits and I am that.

I'm doing my first tri (Blenheim) in 6 weeks - well almost 5 now - and I haven't been training anywhere near enough. I'm feeling a lot more motivated now (fear'll do that to you) and am getting out a lot more. It is a little bit disheartening to see how I've deteriorated but I'm sure I just need time.

I'm only really aiming to finish at Blenheim and then concentrate on getting better because I've entered London too.

Another Brit here - literally just starting out and could do with any advice for an ABSOLUTE beginner! Not done any really serious sport for a few years, but have a reasonable base to build on.

Any hints/tips or otherwise would be very welcome!

Hi

Blenheim Palace - I haven't been there for years and can't remember anything about how hilly it is!

Well! I don't get to loko at the forum often but another England based foreigner.
I live in Nottingham but come from Avignon, (France for those who think Avignon is just a bridge somewhere).
Next races, Trentham Classic in Stoke 02/07, Clumber Park Classic 23/08ish.
All the best and we might see each other one of these days.

Hey, only just found this forum.  I'm based in Lichfield, Staffs although I'm at University in Preston most of the time.

I'm doing the Helvellyn Triathlon in September if I recover from injury.  Anyone else doing or done it?

Hi Brits! Glad I'm not the only one on here.

I'm currently living in Royal Arsenal (about 12miles east of london) but moving to other side (Twickenham) in Sept. Been doing tri for 4-5 years. Got Ironman UK in just under 3 weeks. I've been training towards it all year - something is bound to go wrong!

Keep up the training!

I'm actually a kiwi, live in Leicestershire.
I've just entered to do the wee event at Warwick, The Ragged Staff on sept 10. It'll be my first go at a tri, so I've picked one that most of you fitsos could do from a sofa start.....

But, I'll be stoked when I finish, even if it takes me all morning!!
