Hi Everyone,

I'm Jonathan. All my life, even during my military career, I thought that people who did events like tris were insane. Now I still feel that way but have come to the conclusion that I am also insane! Imagine paying anywhere from $35 and up just for the privilege of waking up early in the AM to drive somewhere and torture yourself for an hour or so! I took this opinion towards physical exercise and turned myself into a major couch potato after I got out of the Army. That was fine and dandy right up until I developed Diabetes Type 2. Now regular exercise is a vital component of keeping myself healthy and living a long life. For the tris, I blame my Sister. She talked me into doing my first tri last year. We did the Couples Tri in New Braunfels, TX. It wasn't an impressive showing for me. I have done 4 more races since then, 3 of them this year. I am improving but hope to get a lot better! I have definitely caught the bug!

Jonathan

I'm not a diabetic, but I have talked to a couple of people that are type 2 and finished an IM.  They all used the pump and have done remarkably well.  Welcome to the board!
