Good Morning Eveyone.

Don't think I'm going to work out today, enforced rest day -- well needed. I am going to work on my gardening, weeding, spreading mulch this afternoon and tomorrow so that will give me some strength training.

Tomorrow, there is a bike race that is starting in Torrington at 11:00 am. It's part of the Litchfield Hills Tour. They start here/finish here and then go on to Waterbury, etc. Supposed to be a New England Tour de France. Hundreds of riders have signed up so I plan on going down to check it out. Should be interesting.

Good morning all. Well, it's D-day. It's 6 a.m. and I'm about to leave for my first triathlon. Woo Doggies! This has been a long time coming. If all goes well I'll be done in 1:30 min. give or take a few minutes. I hope to do well in swimming, good on the bike and run the whole 5K. Those are my goals and also have a little fun! Will talk to you all when I get back. Thanks for all your support and good luck and God's speed to all who race today. Happy race/training day all.

Ovetta.

Good luck Ovetta - we're all anxious to hear about it!

I'm swimming this morning, and having a garage sale.  (I'd love to find some pro triathletes who have a garage sale).

Good luck Ovetta. Looking forward to the report.

I did 45 min run last night.

Started early today with a 1 hour bike ride. After my son's baseball game, I'm planning on taking the family to the Y for a little swim, probably 1500m, and finishing off my day with a little crosstraining(mowing the lawn).

Good luck Ovetta!!!!

Last night I wimped out and only did my 45 min strength training. Geez, I remember when doing a 45 strength training session was more than enough for a day. Anyway, I have to make up for it today.

I decided to eat b-fast at 6:20 am when I got up to feed the cats. Then when I really got up at 8:30 or so, I'd be ready to hit the trail and run 5.5 mi. Hmm, I didn't really get out there until 10 and start my run at 10:35. I'm just not a morning person.

Anyway, finished my 5.5 in 52:29. I tried to encourage other runners along the way. Suprisingly, it helped my stamina too. Most people ignored me but a few people seemed to appreciate it. I suppose I'll make a point of doing this from now on when I'm running.

So, now I'm going to chill out for awhile and try to get down to the pool this afternoon to work on my swimming.

Ok everyone...I'm feeling REALLY lazy today! I'm going to have a cup of joe and then try and get my swim workout in at least...also playing 18 holes of golf later today. Plan on my long run tomorrow...goal is 50 min. 4 weeks to D-day!

Went bike shopping and I don't know what to buy to many great bikes out there, like the Giant and Specialized.
