Pre-race routine:

Jogged very little, peed alot, hung with family alot.

Comments:

All mental. Surprised how well I was doing and was mostly able to keep my pace. Pace fell off a bit the last 2 miles. Only passed once during the race.

What would you do differently?:

Slow down in the early miles. I need to start closer to my real pace instead of going out too fast early on.

Warm down:

Get food, get warm. Brrrrrrr.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Mental. Kept telling myself there was no way I could keep this pace up, but I was wrong. Could have probably help the pace the last 2 miles if someone was yelling at me.

Event comments:

Fast course to get a real feel on your actual ability to run a 10K at your best pace. Lots of food before and after the race. Lots of volunteers. No reason not to do it every year!

Course:	Lunken Playfield at Lunken Airport. Mostly flat with a single minor hill, which wasn't really worth mentioning. Out and back course, mostly on a trail for running.
