His name is Hugo, and he keeps us up at night. We found him at the dumpster on Friday. It has been an interesting weekend.

What a cute little dog! Congrats on being compassionate, sounds like Hugo's previous owners had issues with that.

I can even begin to speculate whey people would dump a puppy, but I will say this:

awwwwwwwwww!

You are wonderful. It's a terrible person who would dump or mistreat an animal. All they want is to be loved. Thank you so much for taking in this dog! That's all I can say without tearing up.

He looks really cool. I have had a bunch of dogs and the best one I have ever had by far was a dog that we took off the street.

Cool looking dog.  To bad you're on the other side of the country, LARA is looking for a pup.

Congrats on the new addition - people who would dump an animal like that pretty much suck in my book.

He is a doll!! and you are so awesome for rescuing him.  It is tough with a puppy at first...but so worth it.

I really believe there is a special place in hell for people that mistreat innocent animals.

What a darn cute puppy. Why the heck would someone dump him? That's what Humane Societies are for! Well, glad someone was there to take him in! (I'd check to make sure he wasn't just lost and hanging around the dumpster for the food, though.)

Oh my gosh- I can't believe someone would put that little cutie in a dumpster.  That makes me so mad!  If you're desperate to get rid of a dog, then take it to an animal shetler if you must!  Some people are so ignorant.  Congrats on your new pup- I'm sure he'll appreciate his new home

Thanks for the kind words folks. Pretty much every dog or cat I have ever had has been a "throw away". When our dog of 14 years died a couple of years ago, we decided that we would not seek out another one, knowing that one would "find us". Here's the last pics I'm going to post (people can only tolerate so many baby pictures.) One is a head shot, and the other is Hugo with our other "dumpster dog" they seem to be gatting along rather well

MomX3 - 2006-03-27 10:06 AM OH my god - they are both so cute! I love baby pics - more pictures, more pictures!!

OK, but you twisted my arm. This is Belly (named because he was so full of worms and other parasites when we found him that he had a grossly distinted abdomen) He was very high maintanence as a pup,, not so much now. Hugo has a very cute big bro'

I'm really happy to see that you saved such a beautiful puppy, but we have important work to do.

First I need the directions to the dumpster that you found Hugo in. Then we need to interivew everyone in a one mile radius, and have a CSI team go over the scene of the crime thoroughly. Once these people have been caught there will be a traveling BT lynching (going to each city with 2 or more BT'ers).

These lynchings will involve a TRI.
They will held underwater for the duration of the swim, allowing just enough air so they don't passout.

After T1 the will be hog tied and dragged behind a bike. (Athletes are encouraged to share this time with others, so be kind and pass them on to others to drag.)

Follwing T2 they will be placed on the finish mats and be stepped on by every athlete crossing the finish line. (High heels and cleats are accepted for this portion of the race).

The above comments are in no way reflect or are affiliated with Beginnertriathlete.com or its counterparts.

How cute is he!! My husband and I also recued a dog from the shelter..he was 5mo. old and the previous owners just couldn't handle him. Now he's 2 1/2 and we love him...I think "throw away" dogs make the best pets b/c they are so grateful to be loved!!
