I've always been very active. Swimming, hiking, hunting, running, and working out. I believe it'll take me at least five months to be properly conditioned. Where do I find out information on upcoming events?

Where are you from in Missouri?  That could help.... Ultramax puts on several races in Missouri, and www.swimbikerunstlouis.com has some information on their calendar too.

Introduce yourself!

I live in St. Charles. I'm an IT ninja and I decided I'm going to do a triathlon. I've always have been athletic in one way or another. I was at my gym and thought to myself other than working out for the obvious health reasons, I want something bigger.

St. Chuck isn't far! Some of the St. Louis area crew have started murmuring training sessions and stuff, you are more than welcome to join!  Also, if you need a little motivation, use the logs here and we'll start coming to check on you!

St. Peter's RecPlex tri is just over 10 weeks away. It's a 500 yard pool swim, 21-22 mile mostly flat bike, and a 5 mile run.  There are a few of us doing that one if you need some motivation! They also do it again in the Fall - October I think.

Welcome!

I don't have much of a issue with motivation. In fact, right now being too motivated is kind of bad. I sprained my knee and have a slightly compressed ligament. I can't stay off of my leg. I'm either working out at the gym, swimming, working for my friend on the weekend or crushing my friends at golf. I'm one of those people who can't sit in front of a tv or something unless I'm strapped down into a couch.

I'd love to join you guys! I could use as much help and advice as possible. Cheers!
