I did it. All it took was a new bike, some renewed vigor, and whammo, I friggin did it. I managed to sustain 20 mph over the course of an hour (even having to stop at a few lights). Of course I'm at work and nobody here understands this milestone.

86 days to CDA! kick @$$!!!

CONGRATS!!!

The question is, how long was the ride and where did you find a course that is completely downhill with gail force winds at you back the entire way???

Oh yeah, CONGRATS!!!!

Nice bike!  I have the '05 model of the S22.  It's a funky orange color, but I love that bike.

Just think how fast you'll be after dropping another $2k on a set of Zipps for Black Beauty! Money mouth

You're not kidding. I'm thinking HED3's, but like Daremo said, I gotta get to the point that I can maintain for over 5 hours. I honestly can't wait to get a true fit on this bad boy. It feels great now, I can just imagine what it will feel like when I've got it dialed in.

Congrats.......I see many more 20s in your future!!!

Congrats Chris! Can't wait to read your race report from CDA

Ya know, of all the photo diciplines, food photography is the hardest.  Next time, you should hire a pro.

Wahoo, congrats.  Hope you can keep gaining speed.  I guess I'll have to get a new bike inorder to keep 20mph for an hour.

Hey, congratulations.  I hope that this is just one of many milestones for you.  Your sustained 20mph for one hour was obviously due to having a black bike.  Now that have a black bike myself, I realise that they are the fastest ...

I think that taco plate is beautiful.

Just out of curiosity, how fast were you before the bike on the same course? How much of it really is the bike I guess I am asking?

BTW congrats! (On the 20mph not just the taco)

On a good day with zero wind, catching every light, I might break into the 19's. Normally I'd be in the upper 18's.

One thing I found was that my quads were on fire. I have to imagine that once these muscles adapt, I can probably eek out a bit more speed. On my road bike, these same muscles never felt this way.

Or, perhaps, if you just rode the miles that the bear rides...
