Alright, next action step on the agenda then:

Please reply with the following information:

1.how many in your party, and if you plan on staying for post-party

2.your favorite beer or beverage

3.when you're arriving

I will compile the info, we can plan a meeting spot for the expo and packet pick-up.  Also, stargazer and I will help provide beverages.  then everyone can bring their own meet to grill and a side (easy stuff...think chips and salsa, or potatoe salad)

I can provide the charcoal and condiments. Bring your own buns.....hehee.... I'll also check into seeing if we need to reserve a grill.  I think this party is on it's way.  I'll start.

1. 9 including me, absolutely

2.. spotted cow

3. sometime before noon on Saturday.

Awwww......cute!

Well, it looks like perhaps we'll just bring our own coolers!  I think that's the safest and economic bet.  Bring your own grilling items and bread.  Perhaps, a side!  I will bring the condiments.

Psuedoyams......are you from GB?  If so, what high school?

Also, I'm planning on meeting up for the 2 pm course talk at the expo.  Maybe we can all meet there?

There should be about 12-14 in our group (including our raceday support). There are 7 of us racing!!!!

I should be getting there between 2 and 3 or maybe I'll be able to met up then.

Did everyone get the e-mail that said that the bike is actually going to be 16.75 miles now (Rob I think you figured this out already)

Yeah, i wondered about the bike.  My dad and I cruised around a few moths back and they had just cracked part of the road open on the course.  We decided there was no way that would be finished by race day.  There is really only a small climb on the way out and it's pretty gradual.  The intown riding is going to suck because of the train tracks and traffic.  On this course....the extra mile or two might be better for me because I suck at the run and plan on hammering the bike.  (watch, now that I said that I'll blow a tire on the train tracks....knock on wood)

I recruited a bunch of my friends to race with me.  My pair partner from the college alumni rowing is flying in from St. Paul to race...so that's where most of my peeps are coming from, they're racing.  Then I badgered my mother and father into watching...I'm guessing my dad will be grouchy until the grill gets fired up!  Oh, and my co-worker and roomie are coming to watch too!  They're going to cheer  for everyone though.  My peeps are your peeps!  I think one of the girls we may need to will her cross the line.  So, in that case, we're her peeps!  I'm just plain excited despite being out of shape!!!

Ive lived in GB the past 6 yrs or so. I didnt go to HS here though.

jszat - ams, did your scabies clear up yet?

Kinda, not really. Swimmers itch sucks! For the most parts, its on it way out. Id give it another couple of days before it clears up completely.

Alright yall, i'm out for now.  I'll see you on Saturday at the 2 pm course talk.

I'll be the 6' tall blonde with a bunch of short dark haired girls!!!  We can pick a meeting spot for race day!  Again, bring your own cooler, grilling items, and a side (if you wish).  I'll bring condiments, charcoal, and grilling utensils...paper plates, forks, etc.

Ray, it was so great meeting you!  We picked up the charcoal and mini grill.  We have 24 brats and definitely will not be eating them all ourselves.  Also, we have watermelon, potato salad, and veggies to grill for the vegeterians.  For anyone planning on bringing adult type beverages, the park's only rule is no glass.

I'm bib#278.

Pseudoyams, was that you sitting by the pole during the swim talk?  If it was, shame on you for not saying hi!!!  Hopefully, you'll stick around and hang out with us after....if only for a BT Photo op, so hot right now!

Sleep well everyone, and I'll see you tomorrow.

Nope, that wasnt me. I think we picked up my packet when the swim talk was going on though.

It was good to meet everyone today! Congrats to all, especially AJFreddy for taking the Athena div! Sorry I couldnt stick around and, after reading the above post, we shouldve done a photo-op of the BTers there. Damn! Next time, I guess. When's everyones next race? Im taking next weekend off, I think, and doing the Southwood County YMCA sprint on the 24th.
