Warm down: walk to the massage tent, then a sprint to the awards podium, then a slow jog to the latrine and back to the van What limited your ability to perform faster: muscle cramping in the glutes, hip flexors and calves Event comments: Would be better with age group winners or rankings at least. Ate pizza the night before. Slept from 9pm -4:30am. Drove 1.5 hours to the race. Slept in the van, ate 1/2 Clif Bar and drank some sports drink. Had to change clothes, adding a long-sleeve shirt, due to the brutal wind.
10 minutes light jogging while searching for the bathroom. Note to self: wish I hadn't forgot to bring my own supply of toilet paper.
