Run
Comments: nice run. overcast day. I had to stop and pee BADLY. Note to self- no water before run. Gatorade maybe. I was hoping to catch up with Renee and Sue (deja vu Gasparilla?) but never did, till someone snuck up on me and grabbed my ass and scared me to death. If it wasn't for that potty break, I would of maybe finished in the top 10 in my AG, and averaged less than 10min/mile. ohhhh.... grrrr....... What would you do differently?: pee before the race. Post race
Warm down: walk. pant. walk. pant. Eye Jeff's gatorade. Think about stealing Jeff's gatorade, but he will chase me down since he's so fast. What limited your ability to perform faster: weak bladder. No bushes or porta potties at start. Event comments: This was a great first year race. Well, Moffitt is a cancer center, I work in a Hematology lab and I see a lot of blood cancers. There were no porta potties at the start. I had to pee bad at the beginning. I couldn't help it, had to stop when I saw them at mile 2. I spent a good 40 seconds peeing (yes, I timed it!)and another 20 trying to get my sweaty shorts back on. ugh. I ran out of there still adjusting. Worst thing- no gatorade at water stations. Just water. I needed gatorade. Post race buffet was great- bagels, nanners, huge red apples, oranges, Clif Bars, Kashi Bars, and Hooters Wings served by Hooters Girls. :) Powerade sucks- it's like drinking super strenght Kool Aid!! The Moffitt employees had a "Blue Box Decorating Contest"- all the porta potties were decorated! It was hilarious! On the outside AND inside! I should of bought my camera. I went in one and there was an "inspirational tidbit" at eye level when I was hovering that said "don't look down!". There was a plunger in there too. ha! too funny. I wanted to go in the others just to see what they looked like inside. Last updated: 2006-04-08 12:00 AM

not much. registered. shoes on. chip on. potty. Met Sue's parents. Met up with Sue, Jeff, and Renee. Saw a chick from track group who was asking about my hubby's knee. Met one of Renee's friends who is a cancer survivor.
walked around the block with Renee and wrote a loan to Jeff who forgot his checkbook/cash.
