Total Time = 27m 45s
Overall Rank = /74
Age Group = 20-29
Age Group Rank = 3/5
Pre-race routine:

C and I met up with Rob and Meredith. Got my number (first someone else's, then mine) and tried to stay dry.
Event warmup:

Jogged, stretched, fidgeted, bitched about the weather.
Run
  • 27m 45s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 08m 55s  min/mile
Comments:

There were no mile markers and I didn't know the course so I had trouble pacing myself. Considering the weather I did ok though. I was 8th woman overall, and I don't know about overall overall, because the results were split by gender, but I am happy with my performance because I beat my last 5K time.
What would you do differently?:

Check out the course before the race so I know where I'm going!
Post race
Warm down:

Change into what few dry clothes I had with me. Ate a cookie.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not knowing the course, no mile markers, the cold and rain didn't help either.

Event comments:

A very low budget operation, but considering it was all for charity it was a nice little race.

Wooo hooo...3rd place, so you got to stand on the podium and wave to your fans during the awards ceremony!  Hahaha...well it's fun to dream anyway.  Great race, sounds like all you guys had a fun time!

Wow! what a great time and improvement from your last 5K. I hope the legs are recovering well. Don't worry about the easter candy, everyone needs that every once in a while
Enjoy!
