Which is better for IM WI? I am sure this has been asked but I have searched and not found it. Thanks for any help. I am looking at an older tri bike (carbon fork, aluminum seat stays), my road bike has carbon fork and stays. Also, will I enjoy having the tri bike better for shorter tri races? Thanks for any help, sorry for asking something that I am sure has been asked many times. I'm a roady just getting into triathalons.

either one is fine. whichever bike fits you better is the one to ride.
if you do end up with the road bike, you will at least want clip-ons to get more aero and rest your upper body during such a long ride.

I did IMWI last year.  I did it on a tri bike.  The IMWI course is very rolling so there aren't a ton of places where you stay in the areo position for a LONG time.  If you are comfy on both your road and TRI bike, I would say go with the TRI bike cause you can get areo.  If you are more comfy on the road bike go road, since you don't use the areo all day long.

That's my 2 cents.
