Comments: As I was approaching the first mile marker, the top runners were heading back to the finish. The winner's time was 14:31, pretty impressive. When I hit the first mile marker, my clock time was about 9:45. My chip time was almost 45 seconds faster than the gun time, so for me, I went out way to fast. I paid for it in the second and third mile, and had to take walk breaks every now and then. I was hoping to break 30 minutes, but it has been a busy winter and I haven't been put in the necessary training. My Turkish class is ending next week, so I'll have much more time to devote to training. What would you do differently?: Train more. Post race
Warm down: Walked around the festivities. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. Event comments: This is one of the better 5Ks in Philadelphia. There were a ton of post-race activities and give aways. It is just a fun environment. A fantastic race overall. Harika! Last updated: 2006-04-03 12:00 AM

I woke up and changed. Grabbed a clif bar and then headed out the door.
Just the walk from the car to the race start. We got there pretty early so there was a lot of standing around.
