Pre-race routine:

Wander around trying to corral all the people we knew and trade kid watching, etc.
Event warmup:

SWAT workout for an hour at the park

Comments:

Did it with my DH and my FOUR YEAR OLD DS!!! He did the whole dang thing on his own power and we were NOT last either. I am still impressed. I am so impressed he is my new avatar. Imagine being 40 inches tall and running and walking 3.1 miles. After that, he did the kids race and then pretend raced with his friends for another half hour. The kid is amazing...my hero!
What would you do differently?:

Not a thing, this was not about me - it was something my son really wanted to do and really looked forward to....what a great morning!

Event comments:

I love this 5K each year, they have a big party at the finish and lots of food and goodies and good live jazz...I guess they could have graded the streets a bit more, but we hadn't had rain in a month and a half.

Hey Ann,

This sounded like a great time.  That's an amazing accomplishment for a 4 year old.  You must be very proud of him.  Congratulations on the race.
