Comments:

This was a nice run, we were completely surrounded by water the whole time. The causeway was the first and last mile of the race. The middle mile was in and around the park. Beautiful scenery but no breeze there. The wind really picked up on the causeway on the way back. The last .1 was directly into a stiff off-shore wind. Made the finish a challenge.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

Had some water, a few grapes, and some Gatorade. Waited for my hardware!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The fact that I don't run 6 minute miles yet. :)

Event comments:

This race benefitted the Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital Foundation. Very enjoyable race even though this year it was different from usual. It's usually a point-to-point race beginning at Howard Park and ending at the Bayou, hence Beach To Bayou. But still it was a nice time. Very beautiful park.

I find it funny how I didn't PR but I won my AG...and the day I PR (St. Pat's) I get fourth. Hmm.

New Goal for me: Be able to run in Jeff's shadow. Is it true you outrun Gazelles when you train?
