Alright suckers, I've put together two corporate teams for the Silverman relay in November. Anyone want to pick up the gauntlet and come get some?

We're actually racing against one another, but if there are any gaming companies that want to get their ****** kicked (Bally's/SDG, IGT, Multimedia, Rocket, etc?), we'd love to hand you an *** whoopin.

Chuck,

If you put together another team, I would do the bike portion. I want to do the entire race, but we are moving in August and we have a family reunion that will last a week with little opportunity for training. I just can't commit to the whole thing with those two events looming.

I will do the entire course in 2007.

I would but trying to keep 6 people focused is pretty hard, I can't imagine tacking on another three. I bet you could find two more people here that would join you.

How about it guys? Anyone want to join Mike for a lovely weekend in Vegas?

Just curious, why relay?  You aren't trying for the $100k right?

I was going to do the whole race myself as my 1st IM (and getting ready for IMAZ) but I guess if I don't get the training in, I can do the swim portion of the relay as long as you are expecting me to break any records.

No, neither team is good enough to break the eight hours and there is no way that we could beat the professional teams that are being assembled for this race. So the 100k option is out

I did it to get my coworkers involved, to have an excuse to go to Vegas, and to keep my self fit deep into the year. I will be in IM shape in November so that if two people drop from the relays, I will do the entire race myself.

Additionally, I'm doing my first IM next month. I'm not sure I'm going to like it, so I'm hesitant to do it myself, especially knowing that Silverman is the toughest IM in North America.
