I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the Swaggle email today, I gotta get one!

Too bad this didn't come a few weeks back, my daughter would have loved being a light rope girl for Halloween!

I've known for quite some time that I'm kind of dorky Laughing. I bought TWO of these so maybe I'm actually really dorky? I think it might help people see me from the side when commuting in the early a.m., but the tri bike might get jealous...

Would it be too dorky to wrap these around myself when I run at night?

NICE idea!  Not in my world - not that it means anything.

These things are great. It's not hard to see a bike lit up like that. I'm getting one soon for my morning bike commutes. Can't hurt to be lit up like a Christmas tree.

I think you should go with an all green skin suit with the green lights. You have to figure that, dressed like a super hero, you will be extra fast!

I mean this with all the best intentions---has anyone heard of Ocular driving?  It's the idea that you steer wherever you are looking (think about looking over your shoulder for a lane change and then you realize you've already "drifted" that way).  It is SUPER common for drunks---and they are "drawn" to lights---any idea how many police cars get hit each year on traffic stops by drunks (and plenty of non-drunks) that are "drawn" to the flashing lights.  I'm wondering if this will have the same effect?

And next time you're driving toward a tree/light pole---LOOK AWAY from it instead of staring at it thinking I need to avoid that---because you WILL hit it if you are looking at it...

Red and green wrapped around the frame.  Great Xmas lawn ornament for an old beater bike.

Oh for Pete's sake - I HAD to get 2!  Last night ride my husband and I went on he was uncomfortable whenever we were on the road and not on the trails.  Now he has NO reason to believe traffic cannot see us!

We call this target fixation, but yes I do think about this.  I think that the upside of being seen by more people is worth the risk.

I definitely think this is a cause of deaths during nighttime running races like Ragnar.  You're out driving home from the bar and out of nowhere you see a tiny bobbing light on the side of the road and you come upon a runner VERY quickly.

I think/hope? it's better for bikes since they are traveling faster.
