Subject: New 2011 Kestrel 4000 Pro SL Ultegra 47cm- $2500

Shave some time off your personal best with this BRAND NEW full carbon Kestrel time trial bike, the 4000 Pro SL Ultegra. We bought the bike NEW from a bike shop sales floor but it did not fit my wife properly at her fitting. It hasn't been ridden since we got it and still has the sticker, etc. It was on the sales floor and could have gone on some test rides, but never had an owner.

That's a relly nice bike u got there.

You bought the wrong size bike and the shop wouldn't let you return it? not even for store credit?  or did you get such a great deal that didn't want to return it?  That plain SUX either way!  

If the frame is a 47, you might want to let others know her inseam and wether the bike was too small of too big - for reference.

We bought the bike while were in NY and we live in VA.  My wife is barely 5'1" and her left leg happens to be shorter than her right which is why it didn't fit her, it was that close.  When I get back in town, I can get her inseam if anyone wants it but my suggestion is to look at the sizing on Kestrel's website for fitting.  Here it is.  I am not a bike fitter but my guess is that it should fit most people from 5'1" to 5'5" give or take but please use the calculator.  I hope that this helps.

There was a discussion over on slowtwitch about a week ago about people with one leg shorter than the other.  If not for this bike, it might be a good read for the next one.

Looks like I might have a local bike shop that wants the frame and has a Trek frame that my wife fits on.  We will just switch out components.  If anyone wants this bike please let us know in the next week or so before we take them up on their offer.
