Pre-race routine:

banana. Next year will plan to register earlier - they have the neighborhood center open for the event.
Event warmup:

dynamic stretches, brief jog back to the house for my race belt. I didn't know they would actually have race numbers & a timing mat.

Comments:

time approx. Finished at 10:57 am; left around 9:48 am.
Ran faster than I thought I would - ran with 2 veteran Striders for much of the race, picked up my pace a little towards the end, thinking I was running behind. Turns out I was almost 3 min early.
What would you do differently?:

nothing. I walked the water stop (both passes) to drink.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not a race. ran at a comfortable pace (for the most part), pushing it just a bit to keep up with some other runners.

Event comments:

definitely will run this again next year.
