13245 for the half.  I'm pacing a friend who is running the full so I will reappear about mile 20 and run her in the rest of the way.

13978 for me.

Hey Ernesto, the e-mail said this:

IMPORTANT:  These bib notifications are going out in waves (to avoid as
many spam filters as possible).  So, be patient, all notifications
should be out by end of day, Tuesday, November 29th.

Kind of funny since if you didn't get your e-mail yet, you wouldn't get that message.

Very tempted.  From the clubhouse? What pace?  Supposed to start tapering a bit, but feel more like running

I'm 1422 for the full.  Looking forward to it.  I'm supposed to be running this as a training run, but am kind of starting to get excited.  See everyone out there.

Steve

Im in for the full.  Running with a buddy of mine for his mom who passed away from cancer.  Should be fun despite the fact it is going to be freexzng, windy, and wet, lol!  And the fact that I have run about 3 times since my "Kona High" so it should be interesting.

#15556 for the half-marathon.

I was doing well until late October with my training...then I got sick...no workouts pretty much for 4 weeks. Just started back up for a week now but no long runs more than 8 miles so I'm just going to try to get through it.

Race morning forecast as of this afternoon:

Temps will be around 44F-46F (with windchill from 37F-40F); 30-40% chance of rain during the morning; wind 13-15mph North with gusts to 21mph.

I'm really hoping that it gets either warmer or less windy or no rain - but cold, windy, and rainy just sounds pretty intense!

I'm good with the clothing strategy if it's colder at the start.  $0.89 rain pancho (check), garage sale warmup top to toss a mile in (check), cheapo gloves (check).  But now they say it will likely get colder/more windy as the race goes on.  Maybe we can pick up discarded clothes to put back on along the way.  Half marathon scavenger hunt anyone?  I have dibs on any waterproof mittens.

Picked up my bib for the full... #283!

This is probably one of the more complete sites for forecasts... NOAA weather data with lots of details:

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=32.79420&lon=-96.76520&unit=0&lg=english&FcstType=graphical

It currently looking like 42 degrees (34 wind chill), winds 15mph from north (gusting 21mph), 65% change of precipitation, but very little actual precip.  I'm hoping that means it will be foggy/misting and not actual rain.

Looks like the actual rain and thunderstorms will have occurred Saturday night, but tapered off between 5 and  6am.  Means the course will be pretty soggy, I'd imagine.

Good luck to all.  Anyone else in corral A-2?

Corral A-1 here.  I'll be wearing a white long sleeve shirt that says "Negative Split" across the front of it and a Buffalo Springs 70.3 hat.

I used to live in Michigan and we had a saying up there for weather days like this - "there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing!!"

I'm still debating long-sleeve vs. short-sleeve with arm warmers (well, tube socks; so I can throw them away at some point).  If it weren't for the expected wind, I would definitely do short-sleeve.

What a nasty day it turned out to be!  I was able to PR the half marathon because I kept thinking about how it was better than those end of triathlon runs in the summer where it's 100 degrees and sunny.  Congrats to everyone who survived any distance yesterday!

Well, that was plain miserable! I should of stayed home, lol!   I cant believe I actually thougth about taking my jacket off on mile 6 because I was hot.  That all changes once I hit the lake as it poured and was super windy.  My knee starting killing me at mile 18 (IT Band issues) and I limped my way to a painful, freezing, and sneezing finish. I think I over did it a bit and really learned a lesson.  Next time I will remember not to under estimate those weather conditions.
