Well that was every bit as underwhelming as expected.

 

On a side note, has anyone else noticed that Holly Rowe looks just like Miss Piggy?

I had to look up some pics of her. Yes I see a resemblance.

I thought for sure MI was going to lose that game in overtime.

So did I. That was a VT catch.

 

And I'm pretty sure there should have been an illegal man downfield call on the fake field goal earlier in the game.

 

Regardless, I won the game and it looks like I'm settling into that #2 spot. And as this college season has shown us, it doesn't matter if you beat me now, I should get a second shot at you.

Have to disagree on the catch.  that was out of bounds plus the tip hit the ground.  Where I would agree is that it may not have been enough to overturn the original call, but if you are making the call independent of anything else, that wasn't a catch by the rules as stated, IMO.

 

Yeah I don't know why we don't just add a few more bowls and play a rematch of any game that went into overtime.  I mean heck, the NC is doing it.

If you watch the replay, you can see where his elbow hits in bounds just before his body lands out of bounds. Yes the ball does hit the ground but IMO he has alreadyade the catch and really te ball doesn't move as it hits the ground.

I interperted it as his elbow hitting the ground first while having control of the ball. I was really suprised that it was ruled not a catch.
