Subject: Bike/Tri shop Madeira Beach area

Taking the family to Madeira Beach in April. Can anyone suggest a good triathlon/bike store in the area? I know it's a bit early but if I want to escape the family for an hour or so, I need to plan it now!

not far from there on SR60 you'll find Outspokin - pretty cool and well stocked

there's also Chainwheel Drive (so so for tri) on Clearwater

and Ride N Roll on West  Bay Drive - BelAir (went here once awhile back and I felt I was in a candy store)

If you're into TREK's, then there's the Trek Store on Countryside (off of US19)\

- these are all a little north of Madeira but probably your best bets.

I would like to hear from those who are more local than I, I am on the Eastern side of the TampaBay area  but depending on when in April, you might want to stop by the St Anthony's Tri... an awesome, olympic race n ow on the 5150 series

Thanks for the heads up...I'll probably get stabbed by my bride's dagger eyes if I suggest doing a tri while on vacation but I'll still look into it

A bit farther in St Pete of off 4th St is St Pete Bike Shop great people well stocked. I think out of all you may enjoy Outspokin the most

Also the St. Pete Mad Dogs do a training OWS south of St. Pete Beach and the Don Cesar Beach Resort at Pass-a-grille Beach every weds. night @ 6pm, if you are wanting to get in the water with a group:0)
